Alexa von Tobel is the Managing Partner of Inspired Capital Partners, a venture capital firm which she founded earlier this year. The VC firm is raising a $200M fund, one of the largest funds started by a woman.
Alexa is also the Founder and former CEO of LearnVest, a personal finance website she dropped out of Harvard to start. It raised outside equity of $72M, before being acquired by Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. for around $350M.
Alexa has been included in the Forbes Top 30 Under 30 list, selected as one of Fortune's Most Powerful Women and included in their 40 Under 40 list. She is also the New York Times-Bestselling Author of Financially Fearless (2013). Her upcoming book, Financially Forward, shows how to use simple tools of the digital age to get more out of our money.
Linda Wells is the founder of Flesh, a makeup line created by the most demanding beauty expert for the most discerning beauty lover. She is also the Founding Editor in Chief of Allure Magazine, allure.com, and the Allure video channel. During her 25 years at Allure, she created the Allure Best of Beauty Awards, the Best of Beauty seal, and the Allure Beauty Box subscription service.
Linda is the author of Allure: Confessions of a Beauty Editor (Bullfinch Press, 2006). Most recently, she was contributing beauty editor at large at New York Magazine's The Cut and the producer of "The Linda Wells Report," in Hearst's Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and Town & Country. She began her career as a writer and editor at Vogue. She was also a reporter at The New York Times and the beauty and food editor of The New York Times Magazine. Linda also served as the chief creative officer of Revlon from January 2017-March 2019.
